While we are not doing a Galileo documentary our friend Jim Payne from Trek World is making one. Maybe you saw him on our Kickstarter closing show. Nobody knows more about the early days of the Shuttles history than Jim. I can't wait to see this Doc, and yes it will conclude with the opening of the new shuttle bay.

I was onsite yesterday to meet with James, the contractor and subcontractors. The building is going great. James has a great vision for how to do the interior. We worked on logistics for video wall and other mundane next step parts of building as it is going fast. Our Contractor is amazing.
I wanted to take a moment for two things. One to thank all of you for backing this project and helping to build an amazing home for the Galileo. Its going to be stunning thanks to all your support.
2nd .... I want to express that considering that this is the first kickstarter Brian and I have ever done it has gone really well. We do have things that if we had known we would have done differently. Almost all of them have to do with some limitations or odd structure behind the scenes with Kickstarter that surprised us. Believe me we were stunned about the inablity to send out surveys to payment plan supporters until they are paid in full. It seemed so helpful to provide a payement plan. So I wanted say to all of you that Brian and I are volunteers. We are donating the immense time to do this and we are thrilled. We are huge Star Trek fans, what James is doing at the Studio Tour is super important to us and we are pumped to provide a home for Galileo. It is truely a cultural icon. I just want to ask you to understand that we are doing our best. Brian is working tirelessly. His work on Backerkit has been immense. I drove 10 hrs each way yesterday to deal with with important decisions and process to keep the building going. We also always discussed as we worked on decisions for all this that it be what we would want as fans....as we made product and tiers we tried to come up with worthy things. We are Knee deep in ordering product to fullfill for you. Huge work for Brian and his close friend to make the plaques. I am up to my ears in the whole video wall thing and many other aspects of making sure all the details of the building are moving as they should. It is a lot. We are excited to do it but please bare with us. We are very appreciative of your support and we are doing our best. Its overwhelming and exciting at the same time. We are all knocking this out of the park together. A few things are bumbs but I am really impressed how few actually and trust me we care deeply that you all get your perks, rewards etc. I had a blast putting in the order for the glasses two days ago. They are going to be stunning and high quality.
If you need help with something or something isnt working etc let us know and remember we are doing so many things behind the scenes right now... we will try our best to take care of all of it.
