Live Today! Combination of our two favorite Ships: A piece of the original 11-foot model of the Enterprise AND a piece of the Galileo. There will only be 10 of these ever.
The Galileo Pieces were donated by the man responsible for her restoration Adam Schneider.
The Enterprise pieces were donated by Ed Miarecki, who removed them himself.
During 1991-92 Restoration of the Enterprise 11-foot filming miniature the front of the engine nacelles had to be modified to for installation of the new lighting display.
The original “Christmas Tree” light were being replaced.
The pieces were gathered up and save for 33 years to be presented today.
When will you ever have a chance to own a pieces of the original 1964 Enterprise again?

Just got off the phone earlier with the contractor to confirm. Hot news…..with the support of all you amazing backers, the contractor is starting construction of the Galileo building on March 20th. This puts us on schedule for the structure to be finished in June. Giving us time to work on the observation deck and the interior in time for the dedication in September. We had gotten the foundation ready end of last year so we are ready to launch.
We are solid on the building and on the observation deck.
Brian and I have been able to tighten up our vision of our goals and what we are achieving now that we are ¾ through the Kickstarter. To be careful and steady and based on costs, pledges, and video wall quotes we have gotten in we are, after a lot of thought, moving the goal of video wall to 275K to be safer and adding a high definition video wall at 325K as a final stated goal. Anything beyond that would go to improving our current goals and upgrading them. We have a lot more data now and see the path so much clearer than when we pressed the launch button on the campaign thanks to all of you.
The video wall is a big deal. We believe it takes the space we had available and makes it so you can imagine and visualize the shuttle in a much bigger space, the hangar bay of the Enterprise or any place our imagination takes us in the future. We think its going to be stunning and can even have live animation going on in view and around the Galileo. It is the dream home we are hoping for and with your help we think its within grasp. Is also not cheap and there are levels of quality. Fortunately we have a team with experience that is volunteering to install it so its keeping the cost part much more reasonable than otherwise.
We are announcing some hot add ons tonight that we are lucky to offer thanks to James Cawley and we are super excited about the prospects of this last week with your help. Please in addition to backing help us share and post and get the word out so we can have an amazing last week in support of the Galileo and her new home.
